Known as one of the greatest live bands of the era, The Most was formed in June '79 by Derek Knott, Judd Williams and Tom O'Riley of The Upbeats and Diane Zane of The Tomboys.Later Paul Armstrong of The Flashcubes joined.

They played all the major new wave venues of the day and shared gigs with The Bloodless Pharoahs (Brian Setzer) Iggy Pop,David Johansen,The Members,The UK Subs and Fashion to name a few.

Derek, Judd and Tom left the band in 1980 to form The Hit Squad and Diane and Paul started a second Most with Dave Anderson and Dick Hummer.
